How can I resolve the collections debt NCO FIN/35 on my credit report?

Submitted by on October 24, 2009 – 12:54 pmNo Replies

A web user asks, I recently acquired the three major credit reports, and noticed that on two out of the three I had this collections debt on my reports.

On the Experian report it has it listed as closed, but on the Equifax report the status is still opened. The original date it was opened was back in 2002, and I had no idea that I had owed anything to anyone.

It’s only listed as a $50 debt which I would have had no problem of paying at the time, but for whatever reason I had no idea of its existence.

I have tried and do some research on how to settle this, and get it removed from my reports, but have had no luck.

I would greatly appreciate anyones help on this issue. Thanks.

Can you help them out? Post your advice!
