How can I pay off unsecured debt if I move abroad?

Submitted by on November 24, 2009 – 2:48 amNo Replies

A web user asks, I am planning a move to the Dominican Republic from the US. I have unsecured debt (school loans and credit cards) which I want to repay, but the average income in the Dominican Republic is much lower and I know I would not be able to make minimum payments. Can the debt be converted or possibly bought out by a bank there or something like that?

Can you help them out? Post your advice!
