How can I leave Australia permanently to live in the UK after becoming bankrupt?

Submitted by on October 23, 2009 – 10:54 amNo Replies

A web user asks, I am a permanent resident in Australia but hold a UK citizenship and I am thinking of going bankrupt here in Australia. I was made redundant from my job over 3 months ago and have been unable to find another full time job. I know that I have to get permission from a trustee in order to be able to travel overseas but what are the chances of me being able to move to the UK permanently following my bankruptcy. Are there any restrictions on relocating to another country and how soon after being made bankrupt could I possibly travel?

Can you help them out? Post your advice!
