What if a bank says a cashier check is valid, then I cash it at a check cashing store and then find its fake? ?

Submitted by on August 6, 2010 – 9:56 amNo Replies

A web user asks,
I don’t have a bank account…the check was from Chrysler, Canada
I did cash the check. Then I found out it was fake. The place I cashed it requested my phone number. Plus I use the place for other services. I received a phone call two weeks later from the check cashing store, telling me it was fake.

Can you help them out? Post your advice!
