Can you cash a check at a different bank than is on the check?

Submitted by on March 11, 2010 – 12:47 pmNo Replies

A web user asks, I just recieved a $3000 student loan check for school and I need to cash it to get items for school . The bank that is on the check isn’t anywhere near me. I have a checking account with Bank of America. Will they cash my check since I have an account with them? I don’t wanna deposit the check I want to cash it.

Can you help them out? Post your advice!
