Over the years, I've ruined countless pairs of pants as my wallet grew to George Costanza wallet proportions as I accumulated more credit cards, ID cards, insurance cards, business cards, receipts and scraps of paper.

After ruining my favorite pair of pants a few weeks ago, I decided it was time to get a money clip.

I got the Smart Money Clip because I wanted something that held both cash and cards. When I got the clip in the mail from Amazon, I was amazed at how well it worked. Especially cool is that it holds cards securely, even if you carried just a single card. I think the trick is that the closed end is tapered slightly so that the card is bent a little (don't worry, cards are not bent enough to do any damage or dome)and stays nice and snug.

My only regret is that I didn't get this money clip sooner.

The only thing you would need to get used to is that since the clip holds only five cards, you need to take with you only what you need. I carry my driver's license, a debit card, a credit card, an insurance card and my bus pass. (Ask yourself, do you really need to carry all your cards out?). Rating: 5 / 5
